Oh my, the Swedish soul shines through, tender and strong. The colors of course, but the proportions are perfect, and many seem as if they are vernacular manifestations of more sophisticated designs. Speaks well of a people, the ability to build satisfying architecture from modest material. If only the builders of today could take to heart their simple approach-particularly here in SoCal (and SoFL).
Love the little solitary geranium, no attempt at classical symmetry (which would have been my compulsive instinct) just a gentle domestic sweetness and bright burst of color.
