I’ve been hanging my hat at Church of the Ascension quite a bit this summer. It has been simply delightful–the community has been very warm and welcoming, the conversation we’ve been having, lively. I am taken by the woodwork–somehow, it makes me feel closer to those whom we bear witness to when we say that we join our voices with angels and archangels and all the company of heaven.
The holy spirit is alive and well and frolicking down the aisles at church of the Ascension –being there has fed my spirit since the 1970s at any and all visits.
What a lovely, welcoming church!
Confirmed in this church, married in this church, one child christened in this church, parents funerals from this church, and, God Willing, I’ll go feet first from the Church of the Ascension with the congregation singing, “America The Beautiful”.
We love having you with us Rosa.
Such a magnificent building. I always feel a little bit “awed” by it.
